pH Paper and other Test Strips
Single-use test materials used to rapidly and semi-qualitatively determine the acidity or alkalinity of liquids or to measure another parameter or substance; may include tests for starch, chlorine, and molybdenum; usually via the use of color-based reactions.
pH Papers, pH strips, pH sticks, and pH test kits are used in laboratory, industrial, and educational environments to qualitatively assess pH levels or monitor acid-base titrations in a range of sample types.pH Buffer reference standards are used for the accurate calibration of pH meters and monitors for far more precise and quantitative pH measurement.
pH Test papers are supplied either as rolls, tear-off strips, or sticks. They are impregnated with indicator dyes that change color at a specific pH. In some products, indicator dyes are covalently linked to cellulose fibers to avoid bleed-out (leaching) and contamination of the test sample.
Some pH papers indicate simple acid or base conditions with a single red-to-blue color change (also called litmus papers). Universal pH papers and strips contain a combination of indicators that cover a range of pH values up to and including 0 to 14 in a single test. The observed color change is checked against a comparison chart supplied with the papers.
Alternatively, for metered assessments of pH, standard or reference pH buffers are used to calibrate pH meters and other electrochemical sensors.
Standard Buffer Characteristics:
• Typically supplied at fixed values of pH 4.01, pH 7.00, and pH 10.01
• May be color-coded for easy and quick identification
• Certified to their nominal pH and accuracy at a specified temperature (typically 20°C)
• Supplied as ready-to-use solutions or concentrates
• Contain antifungals for extended shelf life

Essendant Low-Speed High Productivity Floor Pads 7300, 17"" Diameter, Black, 5/Carton
3M¿s most aggressive floor stripping pad, the 3M™ High Productivity Pad 7300, is the best choice for removing four or more coats of finish buildup from hard floors. The stripping pad¿s open construction allows stripping solution to circulate through the pad, reducing loading. Continuous nylon filaments, uniformly coated with resin and abrasive particles, provide consistently high performance throughout the life of the pad. For rotary and automatic floor machines. For optimum conformability and pad-to-floor contact, the pad can be backed with a red buffing pad.

Sigma Aldrich Fine Chemicals Biosciences Minimum Essential Medium E1L
Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) developed by Harry Eagle is one of the most widely used of all synthetic cell culture media. Early attempts to cultivate normal mammalian fibroblasts and certain subtypes of HeLa cells revealed they had specific nutritional requirements that could not be met by Eagles Basal Medium (BME). Subsequent studies using these and other cells in culture indicated additions to BME could be made to aid growth of a wider variety of fastidious cells.MEM which incorporates these modifications includes higher concentrations of amino acids so the medium more closely approximates the protein composition of cultured mammalian cells. MEM has been used for cultivation of a wide variety of cells grown in monolayers. Optional supplementation of non-essential amino acids to the formulations that incorporate either Hanks or Earles salts has broadened the usefulness of this medium.

The indicator dyes of pH-Fix sticks are substantially bound to the cellulose fibers and as a result the possibility of the color bleeding, even in strongly basic solutions, is avoided. The dyes provide a sharp differentiation between the individual pH values and a clear and easy comparison to the color scale. Measurement of pH value is possible even in unbuffered or very weakly buffered solutions, since the sticks can be left in the solution until the final color change is completed. Test samples are not contaminated by the indicator dyes.
